  9. TBAV-for-Networks has been released. This product, which operates
  10. together with TBAVWIN, allows you to implement a secure anti-virus system
  11. on your network!

  14. local distributor for more information!

  17. Since TBAV-for-Windows and TBAV-for-DOS both use the same scan engine,
  18. you are advised to read the "What's New" information concerning TBAV-
  19. for-DOS as well. Select the item "What's new ?" in the TBAV-for-Windows
  20. 'Documentation' menu to read the information.

  23. The accompanying 'ReadMe.1st' file contains some last-minute information
  24. about TBAV-for-Windows. Select the item "Read Me" in the TBAV-for-Windows
  25. Program Manager group to read this file.

  27. 6.34 Product update

  30. TBAV-for-Windows:
  31.   -  An option is added in the 'Options|Configure TBAV for Windows' dialog.
  32.      The option is called 'Flash virus alert window'. The dialog shown when
  33.      a virus is detected will start flashing if this option is enabled, in
  34.      order to draw extra attention to the person using the computer. The
  35.      'Flash virus alert window' option is enabled by default.
  36.  
  37.   -  Another new option deals with the priority of the Background Scan
  38.      module. Via the 'Options|Background scan configuration' dialog, you
  39.      can choose between two priority levels. Choosing 'low priority' will
  40.      slow down the Background Scan module, giving other applications more
  41.      time to do their job. The default setting is 'high priority', which
  42.      will make the Background Scan module scan files as usual.

  44.   -  When a virus is detected by the Background Scanning module or
  45.      File I/O Monitor, it is now possible to rename, delete or kill the
  46.      infected file.

  48.   -  TBAV-for-Windows can now be registered to TBAV-for-Networks
  49.      automatically! Simply adjust the settings for the TbNet.Ini file in
  50.      TBAV-for-Networks (disable the option for 'Ask user info'), and use
  51.      the new TbNet.Ini file to register your workstations automatically,
  52.      without user interaction!

  54.   -  The part of the virus scan engine that resides inside TBAV-for-Windows 
  55.      has been improved slightly, so that more viruses are recognized.

  57.   -  The utility called 'TbLoad' which implements the automatic update
  58.      feature of TBAV-for-Windows did not preserve the file attributes
  59.      of the TBAV-for-Windows files correctly.
  60.  
  61.   -  The Application Execution Tracker module had problems tracking
  62.      files residing in the Windows directory, or any other directory
  63.      specified in the DOS searchpath.

  65. Setup-for-Windows:
  66.   -  The setup program used the source directory name incorrectly in some
  67.      environments.
