together with TBAVWIN, allows you to implement a secure anti-virus system
on your network!
An evaluation version of TBAV-for-Networks V6.34 is available (without
charge !) from the ThunderBYTE support BBS ! Get TBAVN634 or contact your

'Documentation' menu to read the information.

6.34 Product update
-------------------
TBAV-for-Windows:
- An option is added in the 'Options|Configure TBAV for Windows' dialog.
The option is called 'Flash virus alert window'. The dialog shown when
a virus is detected will start flashing if this option is enabled, in
order to draw extra attention to the person using the computer. The
'Flash virus alert window' option is enabled by default.
- Another new option deals with the priority of the Background Scan
module. Via the 'Options|Background scan configuration' dialog, you
can choose between two priority levels. Choosing 'low priority' will
slow down the Background Scan module, giving other applications more
time to do their job. The default setting is 'high priority', which
will make the Background Scan module scan files as usual.
- When a virus is detected by the Background Scanning module or
File I/O Monitor, it is now possible to rename, delete or kill the
infected file.
- TBAV-for-Windows can now be registered to TBAV-for-Networks
automatically! Simply adjust the settings for the TbNet.Ini file in
TBAV-for-Networks (disable the option for 'Ask user info'), and use
the new TbNet.Ini file to register your workstations automatically,
without user interaction!
- The part of the virus scan engine that resides inside TBAV-for-Windows
has been improved slightly, so that more viruses are recognized.
- The utility called 'TbLoad' which implements the automatic update
feature of TBAV-for-Windows did not preserve the file attributes
of the TBAV-for-Windows files correctly.
- The Application Execution Tracker module had problems tracking
files residing in the Windows directory, or any other directory
specified in the DOS searchpath.
Setup-for-Windows:
- The setup program used the source directory name incorrectly in some
environments.
